TokyoMilk Beauty!

Sometimes the packaging and not the product is really what pulls me in. Then after using the product, I realize that buying it purely for its prettiness was actually a smart choice! This isn't always the case, but you've got a 50-50 chance of hitting the jackpot. TokyoMilk by Margot Elena was most certainly a winner for me. "A mysterious yet sophisticated collection" of bath and beauty. Discover products like brilliantly paired fragrances, decorated in colorful graphics with a vintage stationary feel. The collection includes luxurious lotions, soaps, candles, perfumes, bubble baths, lip balms, cosmetic bags, and much more! TokyoMilk "transcends the traditional as a collection unlike any other." The brand has proven this, by being featured in top magazines like Vogue, Glamour, Marie Claire, and Allure. So shop the TokyoMilk display yourself at On The Bay Customs, and indulge in its delightful surprises!

Plaid Pattern Play!

Who ever said that you couldn't do the same pattern on top of one another? Well if anyone ever told me that, I obviously didn't listen. If it isn't already, I just decided to make plaid on plaid a thing! I love mixing different colors, patterns, and styles. Plaid just so happens to be one of my favorites! In the spirit of that, I decided to stock up on plaid blanket scarves in every color, to help me keep cozy during this Michigan winter! While I was looking for them on DressLily, I came across this adorable dress under my "plaid" search. With its coatdress style reminiscent of the 1960s, and shorter modern babydoll cut, I had to add it to my cart! When I received everything at the same time, I had the inspiration of mixing all of my new plaids together! My rule with mixing is to stick with neutrals and add pops of color. Since navy is considered a neutral, I used my scarves as pops of color. I also had a little fun showing off the different ways I wear my blanket scarves. The most fashionable and popular way in my opinion, would be my top look. My second style is a detail that most people tend to overlook. Scarves also make for great wraps! Drape it over yourself and feel exactly why they call it a blanket scarf! Lastly, is the classic style that is most known for a scarf. So there you are, pattern play, color combos, and style switch ups all in one post! You're welcome ;)

Intricate Jewels!

I'm someone who appreciates a lot of detail. You can tell just by looking at something intricate, that a lot of time was spent in making it. In my opinion, that really speaks to the quality of the design. It's how an artist endorses their craftsmanship, time, dedication, and skill. By showing that with time, uniquely beautiful pieces can be made. Some of my favorite designers are known as some of the most detailed in the business. Zuhair Murad, Marchesa, Badgley Mischka, and Balmain absolutely emanate those qualities. With gowns dripping in jewels and beads, waistcoats covered in buttons and zippers, and bodysuits in layers of lace and crochet, how can you not be inspired? So obviously, I'm equally as astounded by a beautiful piece of jewelry. Now they aren't exactly couture, but when I found these hand woven and beaded jewels at On The Bay Customs, I was entirely impressed. With their bright colors, small details, and bold designs, they are the perfect pieces to catch an admiring eye. When it comes to unique items, it doesn't stop there.
