Shake It Up!

Have you ever been in one of those moods where you just want to enjoy and disconnect for awhile? Well that's been me for the past two weeks. It actually got to the point where people asked me if I was okay, since I wasn't blogging xD Well I'm back now, and doing just dandy! Let's just say that I found plenty of other things to fill my time while I was gone! I first spent a day exploring Dearborn with Emily. I had been wanting to try Commongrace Coffee's honey lavender matcha latte, and the new orange creamaicle shake of the month at Famous Hamburger! Both were absolutely delicious, and we plan going back next month! We also took a trip down memory lane, and wandered the Gibraltar Fair. Until we quickly discovered how pricey it was to win a prize xD We attended the Detroit Garment Group's annual fundraiser, SPARK, at the Baltimore Gallery, and enjoyed catching up with our fashion friends. We threw a luau party at our work, and had such a great turnout that we ran out of food! I spent a day on the boat with Erik's family, and soaked up a little too much sun (again). Then we all took a trip to Cedar Point, and I managed to not lose my lunch on the rides xD We've been taking full advantage of summer to say the least! But it's back to blogging now, I swear! I have plenty of outfits to post, and some exciting news to come...so don't think I've gone missing ;)

Verizon In Pure Michigan!

I've never been one for the gym, I enjoy exercising outdoors. That way it feels like an adventure rather than a chore! That's why I've partnered with Verizon to show off how I use their products to enjoy my favorite Pure Michigan activities! Hiking, biking, backpacking, kayaking, and camping are just few things on a long list of Michigan pastimes! Erik and I took a camping trip to Port Austin this past weekend, that included a 7 mile kayak trip to Turnip Rock, and a serious sunburn (Pictured above xD). It was the ultimate opportunity to test out Verizon's hottest products, the Fitbit and indestructible speaker. Their Fitbit Blaze was perfect for reading my heart rate on steep climbs, as well as tracking my hiking, biking, kayaking, and showing calories burned during all activities. Not to mention its smartphone notifications, and automatic sleep pattern detection. It legitimately knew every time I woke up to the sound of a giant bug hitting the side of my tent, or a micheiveous racoon! I also loved their shockproof, waterproof, bluetooth speaker, the UE Roll 2. The ideal speaker for adventurists, it can be attached anywhere. Strap it on your bike, backpack, climbing harness, you name it! It even comes with a flotation device in case you're a bit of a clumsy kayaker ;) So don't forget to include Verizon's products in your next Pure Michigan experience!
