Favorite Finds From Shed 5 Flea!

After attending a full summer of Shed 5 Flea events at the Eastern Market, I have accumulated quite a list of new favorite finds.
I felt it necessary to share these brands below, and some funny true stories on the impact they've made on my life!
...
"We still create our mixes the old-fashioned way; by hand every day, using premium quality ingredients like herbs, spices, fruits, and vegetables."
I actually wasn't a fan of dips until I tried Country Home Creations. True story: Whipping up a bowl of their dip and breaking open a bag of chips has become my family's Bachelor Night tradition!
"Always crunchy but never sticky, each batch of granola is made by hand in small batches in Owosso, Michigan with ingredients that are locally sourced whenever possible."
We've been eating Aly's granola for years now, and have tried almost every flavor. It's truthfully the only granola brand I will buy! We had the pleasure of finally meeting Aly in person at the last Shed 5 Flea. Let me tell you...she is as sweet as her granola!
Hubbert's Kettle Corn
"Family owned kettle corn operation."
No joke guys, my mom has formed an addiction for Hubbert's pork rinds. She will literally join me to every event just so she can get her fix. Okay, so I guess this isn't entirely fair...I just may be addicted to their classic kettle corn as well!
"Curiously scented, Michigan made soy candles, soy wax melts, and hand-dipped incense."
My new bedside candle, Hot Apple Cider, is the perfect scent to transition into the autumn groove. Their candles are made with soy, a much healthier alternative to burn, and don't give me that "strong scent headache" that most candles do!
"Spirited paper goods and gifts for awesome people."
I live for a good inspirational or quirky quote, and they have plenty. I've stickered most of my things with their cute quotes to give me that extra boost of confidence to get me through any tough day!
"Contemporary and vintage clothing. Sustainable, affordable, and fashionable."
I tend to get a bit giddy when I discover an antique store or vintage shop, so you can only imagine how I was when I found Full Circle Resale. My new favorite dress is from their vintage collection, and I actually wore it for my engagement photos!
...
This just goes to show that you never know where your next routine, regimen, or tradition can come from!
It's exactly why I love attending these events.
...
There are still many magnificent events to come!

Fashionable Finds At Shed 5 Flea!

I don't know about you guys, but I was totally "that girl" in middle school who only wore Hollister. In high school I moved on to Abercrombie, and in college I was the girl that lived in Express.
...
I find it so hilarious now that I was so stuck to "brand names" or so "loyal" to one brand. Back then I was afraid to broaden my horizons in fear of not fitting in or being "judged".
...
I find it even funnier that I used to consider that staying "in fashion". Let's just say that growing older really does make you wiser! Call it observance or call it experience, either way I'm relieved that I finally found my niche.
...
"What is it?" you may ask...
My niche, is not having a niche.
What I'm saying is that it's all over the place, just like how I do my shopping these days. My closet is a combination of fashion from flea markets, to boutiques, to stores, to online finds.
...
My biggest discovery?
That there are SO many more brands than the ones you find in malls or big box stores.
My second biggest discovery?
That those bitty boutiques and small businesses are even BETTER.
My favorite discovery?
Your style is all YOURS. Make it fun, make it cutesy, make it sophisticated, make it whatever you want.

Shop Shed 5 Flea!

Flea markets are my jam.
My family and I have been going to flea markets since I was a baby.
We'd pile in the van and travel to the Shipshewana Indiana Flea Market every year.
Dad would rummage through the tools.
Mom hit up every antique booth.
Emily expanded her jewelry selection.
I searched through the endless aisles for my next treasure.
...
Recently, my family found their fair share of treasures at Shed 5 Flea in the Eastern Market.
Mercantile Fairs events offer not only handmade items, but vintage, re-purposed, and salvaged goods as well!
We fell into our usual flea habits.
Dad & Erik checked out the classic cars.
Mom added to her antique collection.
Emily admired all the accessories.
I brought home a big ol' bag of Brittany treasures.
...
I headed home with...
Clothing from Coco Grand & Full Circle Resale
Tees from Specialtees Apparel & Line Twenty Seven
Tea from Douleur.
Mixes & dips from Country Home Creations.
Body butter from Top Notch Grizzly.
A notebook from Food Family Story.
A signed copy of a murder mystery by Tony Aued.
Art from Cate Foltin Studios
As you can tell, the Shed 5 Flea at the Eastern Market did not disappoint.
...
If you're looking to load up on local goodies, Shed 5 Flea is the place to be!
I should coin that phrase ;)

If you missed this past Flea, don't worry!
