Women Helping Women Fashion Luncheon!

On Saturday, Emily and I had the pleasure of attending the 20th annual Women Helping Women Luncheon and Fashion Show on behalf of Chair, Shannon Lazovski of The Lazov Agency and Glamorous Moms, to benefit Grace Centers of Hope. Since 1988, this event has been supporting thousands of women looking for food, shelter, and a renewed sense of hope. Held at the stunning Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester, it included a silent auction of tables upon tables of gorgeous gift baskets, a lovely lunch spread, speeches by those involved in Grace Centers of Hope, and a spring fashion show.

We were so delighted to run into our blogger friends, Grace Liang of Color and Grace, Becky Fixel of Week99r, and Kelly of Kelly's Reality. It was absolutely wonderful catching up with them, and hearing of their recent blogging ventures. We then sat down at table adorned with floral arrangements, candles, crisp salads, and colorful desserts. We heard many firsthand testimonials from graduates, residents, and families of Grace Centers. Their stories tugged at our heartstrings, and left us teary-eyed and inspired.

The fashion show was put on my none other than the local queen of fashion, RGA Model Management's Cheryl Hall Lindsay. With everything from the international fashions of Max Mara, LK Bennett, Lilly Pulitzer, and Halston, to local designers Rachelle Willnus of Derby Hats By Rachelle, Christiane La Rue, and Katerina Bocci. Not only did professional models walk the runway, but women from Grace Centers of Hope rocked the runway as well, looking gorgeous thanks to the artistry provided by Luigi Bruni Salon.

Being surrounded by beautiful women, fashions, and dessert is how we like to spend our Saturday afternoons ;)

We are ever so thankful we were able to attend such a wonderful event, for such an important cause.

Travel With Verizon!

Two years ago I went on a trip to Kentucky with Erik and a bunch of friends. We spent our days hiking, backpacking, camping, and climbing in the mountains. You could have said it was the trip of a lifetime, until I dropped my BRAND NEW phone off the side of a cliff while mountain climbing.

Justin Timberlake With Verizon!

We arrived at the Verizon booth outside of Little Caesars Arena to pick up our tickets, and have our picture taken next to "Justin Timberlake". Which we bursted out laughing afterwards, because Emily looked like she was getting friendly with Justin's backside xD Little did we know that we had golden tickets in our hands, and that we would soon come that close to the real JT! No joke, Emily could have had her chance in real life ;)

We took our tickets to the line, and to our surpirse we were escorted to the front, making us the first two to enter LCA for the concert! From the expression on the attendant's face, we could tell we were going to be a lot closer to the action than we anticipated! We made our way to the floor, and quickly found out we were stageside!

...

That's the moment I regretted wearing heels.

...

Then the show began, and Justin stopped inches in front of me to breakdance.

And that's the moment I instantly forgot about the shoes ;)

We sang out of tune, danced out of time, and fangirled over Justin like it was the 90's and we were jamming to NSYNC all over again xD
